Arx Fatalis (lat. “fatal fortress”) is set on a world whose sun has failed, forcing the above-ground creatures to take refuge in subterranean caverns. The action in Arx takes place in one of these large caves, where inhabitants from all races such as Trolls, Goblins, Dwarves, Humans, etc. have made their homes on various levels of the cave. Shadow of the Ninja is so similar in style to Ninja Gaiden that the Game Boy sequel Natsume decided to develop for it was ultimately bought by Tecmo, altered just slightly, rebranded and released as Ninja Gaiden Shadow. Safe to say, then, that anyone who’s previously downloaded and enjoyed any of the three original NES adventures of Ryu Hayabusa on the Wii’s Virtual Console would be making a wise investment to spend 500 more Points here. Shadow’s not quite as smooth or memorable as Gaiden, and it’ll frustrate you a few times as only an NES action game could — but its unique qualities, like two-player co-op support, compensate well for any of its shortcomings.

The third in Atlus’ unusually thought-provoking RPG series. In Persona 3, you play as a 17 year-old boy who’s just transferred schools. Immediately after entering his dormitory, he comes under attack of a mysterious Shadow enemy. With his unique ability to switch Personas rather than just summoning a single creature, he ends up becoming leader of a special extracurricular force attempting to defeat Shadow.
Players get to experience school life in Persona 3.
